These top 5 tips are particularly useful to b2b companies who easily fall into the mould of showcasing products or exhibition countdowns across other social platforms and who repeat on Instagram.  I would add that the only exception is if your b2b product photo is something a bit special, either through clever use of photography or is, in itself, state of the art.  Not many fall into these categories.

Having worked with b2b’s over many years, it is hard to break that mould, as much of the social media is done in-house.  Sharing the human side is so much more difficult than uploading a product picture.

Above all, plan a new Instagram account into a strategy rather than open an account, start posting and hope for the best.  Look for other similar companies doing it well and work out how you’ll promote your presence on there.  That way, you’ll get followers who you really want, not just those along for the ride.
